
NCFB Committees
Membership and Outreach Committee
Meets second Thursday of the month at 10:00 am.
This committee focuses on outreach activities to increase Farm Bureau’s presence in the community. It also works on membership issues such as recruiting new and retaining existing members.
Ag Education Committee
Meets quarterly.
This committee is the planning mechanism for the Napa County Farm Bureau’s “Ag in the Classroom” (AITC) program. This program offers agricultural education to local schools by making a variety of ag curriculum and lesson plans available to teachers.
Natural Resources Committee
Meets first Wednesday of the month at 4:00 pm.
Review and recommend to the board of directors issues relating to current Natural Resources topics.
Land Use, Taxation, Labor, Housing, and Rural Health Committee
Meets second Monday of the month at 3:00 pm.
This committee reviews and recommends to the NCFB Board of Directors issues relating to current Land Use, Labor, Housing, Tax and Rural Health topics.
Livestock Commodity Group
Meets quarterly as needed. Provides networking and commodity education to livestock producers.
YF&R
Meets first Wednesday of the month at 6:00 pm.
Napa Organic Group (NOG)
The Napa Organic Group (NOG) is a resource for organic farmers in the Napa Valley.
The group meets monthly from March through June at various farms and vineyard locations for tours of the host’s farm as well as to facilitate farmer to farmer discussions and learning. Meetings are free for NCFB members or $35 for non-members. There is usually a sponsored box lunch and meetings are often approved for CE credits.
