CEO Ryan Klobas honors Napa County Supervisor Diane Dillon, the 2021 Friend of Agriculture

As Napa Valley’s 2021 Friend of Agriculture, Napa County Supervisor Diane Dillon is being honored for her 18 years of service on the Napa County Board of Supervisors and for the ongoing work she has done to serve Napa Valley’s agricultural community.

As a fifth-generation Napa County resident, Diane has been an active community member for many years. A UC Santa Barbara alumna, she graduated with a B.A. in Cultural Anthropology with Honors then continued her education at UCLA where she received her master’s in library and information science. Diane went on to receive her law degree from UC Davis in 1981 where she was a member in numerous law school organizations. From 1981 to 1984, she was an associate at Gaw, Van, Male, Smith & Drago. From 1984 to 2002, Diane was as an attorney at Coombs & Dunlap, LLP, where she was partner from 1986-2002, including being Assistant City Attorney for the City of Calistoga.

Since 2003, Diane has been serving on the Napa County Board of Supervisors as the District 3 representative. She has served on the board of directors for North Bay Regional Center, Napa County Landmarks, Rotary Club of St. Helena, St. Helena Hospital Foundation and the Napa Agricultural Preservation Action Committee, as well as serving as a member of numerous other organizations in Napa County.

Throughout her career, Diane has tirelessly worked with the agricultural community to understand and address the complex issues they face. Diane is regarded as a passionate and dedicated elected official and is recognized for her hard work to protect the scenic resources and beautiful lands of Napa County’s agricultural industry. She is both an honorable example of what it means to be a hard- working elected official and a role model to many in leadership and the agricultural sector.
