Napa, CA—At the outset of the Glass Fire in Napa County, the Napa County Farm Bureau Foundation established a fundraiser specifically focused on Glass Fire evacuees and their families. Many of these individuals and families have either been displaced from their homes or have lost their homes due to the fires.

In order to assist these individuals and families, the Napa County Farm Bureau Foundation, in partnership with Clif Family Winery, established a fund for Glass Fire evacuees. 100% of the contributions received go directly to individuals and families who have been displaced from their homes or lost their homes due to the Glass Fire.

The Napa County Farm Bureau Foundation, using the “scrip” funding program to also financially support McPherson Elementary in Napa, has distributed $6,000 in gift cards to Glass Fire evacuees to assist in purchasing items such as clothing, food, gas, etc. Next week, the Foundation will distribute another $6,000 in gift cards to evacuees, using the “scrip” program to support Napa Valley Learning Academy, with more on the way. The “Scrip” program allows the Farm Bureau to purchase gift cards through a school at 100% face value and receive 100% face value in return, while the program donates to the school for the purchase.

“Taking care of our community during this difficult time has been a top priority for us”, said Ryan Klobas, Chief Executive Officer of the Napa County Farm Bureau and Napa County Farm Bureau Foundation. “So many individuals and families have been impacted in so many different ways and it is inspiring to see the support and contributions we’ve received from across the country to help our community".
