The Napa County Farm Bureau will be hosting a virtual wildfire recovery and prevention town hall series for our community beginning in January hosted by California State Treasurer Fiona Ma and California Farm Bureau President Jamie Johansson.

The two-part town hall series on January 12 and January 27 is focused on business & agricultural recovery funding solutions for Napa Valley’s businesses affected by the recent wildfires, and wildfire prevention policy and long-term solutions for Napa County to mitigate the impact of future wildfire events. Topics will include funding solutions, insurance coverage, wildfire management practices, fire prevention and resiliency, among other important issues affecting Napa Valley.

Participants will include state and local elected officials, the Governor’s Office of Business and Economic Development, the California Infrastructure and Economic Development Bank, the California State Treasurer’s office, United Policyholders, Small Business Majority, CalFire, UC Cooperative Extension among a number of others.

This comprehensive and thorough town hall series will be focused on wildfire recovery, prevention and policy solutions for Napa County designed to culminate in real solutions and next steps forward.

“As a firefighter on the fire lines during the LNU Lightning Complex and Glass Fire, I know well the challenges that were faced during the fires.  The Farm Bureau town hall series will put together the pieces for our road to recovery and future wildfire mitigation” said Johnnie White, President of the Napa County Farm Bureau.

“We have learned many lessons from the recent fires and this series will provide meaningful and real solutions for our community”, said Ryan Klobas, Chief Executive Officer of the Napa County Farm Bureau.

The Napa County Farm Bureau Wildfire Recovery & Prevention series is free and open to the public. Major event partners are Duarte Trees & Vines, Martinez Orchards, MIV Insurance and Ag Health Benefits Alliance.
