Ag Fire Access Beyond Road Closures
Message from Napa County Agricultural Commissioner's Office
As the Glass Fires burning in Napa County have led to road closures, the Napa County Agricultural Commissioner’s Office has again created a new survey link for commercial agricultural growers and businesses that are requesting access to their properties.
It is important to note, we will NOT be distributing verification cards until we have the green light from the Sheriff’s Department. The fire is still active in many places and the road conditions are dangerous. We are anticipating first pick-ups to begin some time after noon, tomorrow (9/30) if fire conditions improve. Submitting a survey now will put you on our wait list and allow us time to begin processing verification cards. Our office will call to notify growers when their verification cards are ready after we’ve received the official word from the Sheriff.
The role of the Ag Commissioner’s Office will be to assess and evaluate a grower or property owner’s need to access their properties for essential commercial agricultural purposes. Again, do NOT come to the office until requested to do so. We will contact you when we have been notified by the Sheriff's Department and your approval is ready for pick up and signature. We are continuing to maintain our COVID-19 safety protocols, and request that you wear a mask.
Please visit our website for the Glass Fire Verification link and answer all of the questions in the survey.
Our office will only issue verification cards to property owners and operators. Consultants, contractors and employees should work directly with property owners and operators to obtain verification cards for the properties they serve. We cannot validate the secondary companies in any capacity and will not issue cards to these companies directly.
Please do not submit multiple surveys, as that slows the process.
We look forward to continuing to serve our agricultural industry,
The Napa County Agricultural Commissioner's Office
