Napa County Farm Bureau Named 2021 County of the Year

The California Farm Bureau has announced that the Napa County Farm Bureau has been named the 2021 state County of the Year for the second consecutive year and also the recipient of 5 Awards for Excellence.

California Farm Bureau recognizes select county Farm Bureaus for exceptional achievements on the local level. This process provides maximum recognition of the significant program of work undertaken by the selected county Farm Bureaus in California.

"Under Ryan Klobas’ leadership, the Napa County Farm Bureau has continued a major course of excellence that has been remarkable this year. Having won this award for two consecutive years is a testament to the significant work the Napa County Farm Bureau has undertaken and the immense successes it has achieved. Ryan and his team were key in drafting Senate Bill 11, providing wildfire insurance coverage for ag throughout Napa Valley and California. The Farm Bureau’s membership in Napa County has more than doubled, the program of community work has dramatically expanded and their professional political operation representing Napa Valley ag is second to none. Ryan has transformed what the Napa County Farm Bureau is and turned it into one of the most formidable trade associations in Napa County and the state. It continues to be one of the most respected and influential authorities for Napa Valley agriculture in California and the nation," said Jamie Johansson, President of the California Farm Bureau.

“This is an honor and evidence that we are achieving great success in professionally representing agriculture in Napa County”, said Johnnie White, President of the Napa County Farm Bureau. “This is a great win for Ryan and his team and our membership!”

"We're very excited to be named 2021 California Farm Bureau’s County of the Year for the second consecutive year and to also receive 5 separate awards for achieving excellence. As the CEO of the oldest and largest agricultural organization in Napa Valley, it is an absolute honor to represent Napa Valley on a local, state and national level. This is a great testament that we are on the right track for Napa Valley," said Ryan Klobas, Chief Executive Officer of the Napa County Farm Bureau.
