NCFB Celebrates Its 109th Birthday
The Napa County Farm Bureau is marking its birthday on May 3rd as the oldest agricultural industry organization in Napa County, celebrating 109 years of service to the community. Over this period, the Napa County Farm Bureau (NCFB) has supported and advocated for both those involved in Napa County’s agricultural industry as well as the broader community.
From its inception in 1913, the Napa County Farm Bureau has worked to protect and promote Napa County agriculture and find solutions to the problems facing the industry. For 109 years, Napa County Farm Bureau (NCFB) has long had a tradition of serving and balancing the needs of community, agriculture and the environment throughout Napa County.
As one of the first farm bureaus in California, its founding allowed the organization to pursue a broader policy agenda that was separate from UC Cooperative Extension. The NCFB developed professional divisions to represent its members at all levels of government including the County Board of Supervisors, the courts, the State Legislature, as well as the media. Today, it proudly continues that mission by professionally representing the interests of over 1,500 agricultural professionals in Napa County.
“The celebration of the 109th birthday of the Napa County Farm Bureau is a testament to the strength that the organization has had for decades serving Napa County,” said Ryan Klobas, Chief Executive Officer of the Napa County Farm Bureau. “For over 100 years, the Farm Bureau has led the advancement of the County’s agricultural community and our community at large. As we continue to embark on a dynamic new chapter for the Farm Bureau, we are looking forward to creating even more meaningful successes for the community and continuing to professionally represent Napa Valley agriculture.”
The Napa County Farm Bureau will be profiling members who have made important contributions to the organization and to community during the week of May 2nd.
