Updated COVID-19 Guidance - FFCRA & CDC
The Centers for Disease Control (CDC) has released guidance and safety practices for businesses and employers to help prevent workplace exposure to COVID-19. Employers should plan to respond in a flexible way to varying levels of disease transmission in the community and be prepared to refine their business response plans as needed. The guidance below will assist employers in taking steps necessary to ensure best practices are followed.
Additionally, Stacy Henderson of the law firm Terpstra Henderson has published a thorough summary of the Families First Coronavirus Response Act (FFCRA) mandated emergency Family and Medical Leave and Paid sick leave requirements, as well as a flow-chart to help you evaluate employee requests to access these leaves. You can access the summary and flow chart below.
The Napa County Farm Bureau continues to monitor this situation around the clock. We are in regular contact with state and local experts and will ensure your families and businesses are well-represented during this difficult time.
